Eh. My family is all fairly supportive. Minus my dad. My moms side grew up riding, so they all love it and love that Ive gotten back in to it. Theyve all been so helpful since we got Ginger. My dad is NOT a horse person. Outdoors, actually. More of a business-office man. He could care less.

Day 09 - Any injuries that occurred from riding
None, really. I mean I fell, and got bit and kicked here and there, but nothing awful.
When I was younger, Pepper bit me on the neck and it looked like I had a hickey about the size of a slice of bread.
Then again, I hopped on him bareback and he bolted and I fell and scraped up my shoulder a bit.
Usually, I get hurt because Im clumsy, not so much from riding.
Day 08 - A little about the barn/stable you ride...
My barn is behind my house haha
Its old, my mom kept her horse here when she was about my age.
It has three stalls, a tack room, and a hayloft. We only have one of the original paddocks. We just put up an arena recently for me to ride in safely. I also have an instructor come out to give me lessons twice a week.

Day 05 - Your first fall
Hahahaha this is a good one.
Okay so I was probably about 10 or so, and I was riding the infamous psycho Pepper, who was a yearling at the time. Also, I was wearing this giant green awful insulated snow suit (which is very unnecessary in Louisiana), and he spooked over something and started bucking and rearing and I fell off. Face first. Into cow shit. So I got up, crying in this ugly green...

Eh. There were a few of those.
The ride when I realized I was invincible and could do anything with my horse if I wanted to.
The ride when I realized I wasnt invincible, and not to trust anything that can think for itself.
And the ride when I realized its all about communication with the horse.

Hmm.
Well, Pepper was my first. His mom was my grandmothers horse who we bred, and the colt became mine. We bonded from the day he was born. Once we had him trained, he was great. I could do anything with him. We had the connection riders dream of. But he was still handicapped slightly from his accident. Things progressively got worse, and he changed. We dont have that bond anymore.
